Position size before you open

The ticket is last. First: a dollar cap, a stop that proves the idea wrong, then size. If the stop is too wide for one unit, skip. Do not round up. Education only.

The rule

Dollar risk = account × your written percent (often 1%). Distance = |entry − stop|. Size = floor(dollar risk ÷ distance) in the unit of that desk: coins, shares, contracts, or lots.
