Crypto session checklist

24/7 tape. Venue can halt. Funding can grind you. Name the object before you size. Education only. Not a broker. Not a signal.

Object

What are you actually trading?

Spot coin, linear perp, inverse perp, or an options gimmick. If you cannot say it in one sentence, you do not trade it this session.

Clock

There is no close.

Crypto does not give you an equity-style close. Gaps still happen on venue outages. Decide your max time in the trade before you click, not after funding prints.

Risk cap

A dollar amount, not a story.

Account × 1% (or your written cap) is the max loss if the stop fills. Size with the risk calculator. If the stop is too wide for one unit, skip. Do not round up.

Invalidation

Write the price that proves you wrong.

A vibe is not invalidation. The level is. Place the stop where the idea is dead, then size to that distance. A liquidation price is not a stop.

No-trade

Sit on your hands.

Unknown venue, no withdrawal test, chasing a 20% candle, or stacking a perp on top of an already open loser. Those are no-trade. Paper is allowed. Live size is not.

Lab

Open the calculator with the example already filled. Change the numbers. Then size your own ticket — or skip.
